Privacy
Privacy, in plain words.
How neutral.org uses analytics, hosting and external resources.
Information received
neutral.org is a static website delivered through Amazon S3 and CloudFront. Requesting a page sends technical information, including an IP address and request details, to the providers delivering it. There are no reader accounts or public comments. The contact form emails your name, email address and message to Tom.
Google Analytics
The site loads Google Analytics measurement ID G-EHFXL7YTYF to measure its use. Google may use cookies and receive information about visited pages, devices, browsers and connections. The site does not display consent controls. We do not add our own reader identifiers or form data to analytics events. The Google property’s retention and data-sharing settings have not been verified from this repository, so no specific retention period is claimed.
External content
The Keeling Curve chart is served as a dated snapshot from this site, with attribution to Scripps. Following the link to the original sends connection information to Scripps. The site’s illustrations, styles and system typography do not require an external font service. Bibliographic links lead to other websites with their own privacy policies.
Hosting and controls
At launch, standard access logging for this CloudFront distribution is disabled. That does not imply that AWS or Google process no technical data. You can manage cookies and tracking protection in your browser. We do not claim those controls are equivalent to a site-provided objection mechanism.
Contact and spam protection
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check requests and AWS to process and deliver messages. Secret keys and the destination inbox are not published in browser assets. Temporary counters retain a pseudonymised network identifier for approximately one hour, daily counts for two days and submission IDs for one day; automatic deletion can take longer. Message text is not stored in that database or added to application logs. Received email remains in Tom’s mailbox. Function diagnostic logs have seven-day retention. No automatic replies are sent.
Further information
See Google’s privacy policy and your browser’s cookie information. This page describes the implemented behaviour; it does not certify that the analytics configuration qualifies for a particular legal exception. You can contact Tom through the contact form.
